Welcome to Little Egret – Milford on Sea, Hampshire
One bedroom self-catering holiday apartment – sleeping 2/3
Set in the centre of the seaside village of Milford on Sea, this bright & modern 1st floor one bedroom holiday apartment, (in a building of just 4 apartments), is only a few steps away from the Village Green.
Cosy and welcoming, Little Egret is fully equipped to a high standard with all the essentials for a relaxing and comfortable stay, and offers free private parking, plus access to a lockable bike shed for our guests’ use at the rear of the property. Village amenities and the beach are all just a short walk away.
We love to welcome our guests all year round, and our aim is for you to relax and enjoy your time here, in this friendly coastal village on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Walks can be enjoyed directly from the apartment – (just a 5 minute walk to the popular beach side café) and with a varied choice of woodland and coastal strolls, taking in the beautiful views along this coastline.
The local harbour at Keyhaven (an easy 10-15 minute walk from Little Egret), is a great place for a walk along the sea path by the saltmarshes to spot all the different bird life that this natural area attracts all year round.
Ferries from Keyhaven (April – October) can take you across to Hurst Castle (or its a very pleasant 45 minute walk there along the shingle spit) – and the regular ferries from Lymington operate throughout the year over to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
In the village itself, you are spoilt for choice with a range of welcoming restaurants, inns and tearooms. Traditional independent shops are situated around the Green, and we also have a couple of Beauty/Hair salons for that little bit of special holiday pampering! You will find Mr Pink’s ever popular fish and chip shop and the Cave wine bar here in Milford too.
Our vibrant Community Centre in Milford offers a wide range of live performances, films and activities – a popular venue for both locals and visitors alike. More active opportunities nearby include: paddleboarding, golf, horseriding, cycling and of course going fossil hunting along this lovely stretch of Hampshire coastline.
Milford on Sea is an ideal base, whether just to park your car, for its own holiday, and simply enjoy the locality – or to visit some of the easy to reach interesting places around, such as Highcliffe Castle, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, and Beaulieu village with river side walk to Buckler’s Hard and the Maritime museum. Visit the Georgian town of Lymington with its colourful Saturday market and cobbled streets leading down to the quayside. Lyndhurst, Burley, Exbury Gardens and Bournemouth are a short drive away from Milford.
All year round, there is always something new to do and discover in this lovely part of Hampshire – we’d love to welcome you !
